Born from the ashes of a Heavy Metal band called Gluttn in Coos Bay, Oregon in 2006, Dustin Garrett (guitar), Dave Carrillo (bass) and Asa Crusoe (drums) decided to change the name to Black Halo.  Jack Costa's lead guitar work was recruited into the project and the band evolved into a more progressive sound.

For over 3 years there were a few change ups but somehow it always came back to the same 4 members. Then Asa quit the band and there was a long hiatus until finally they all got together to jam and felt ready to go after it again.

Things were going well with the new energy until suddenly Asa quit the band a second time. A new evolution began and they brought in Mike Vaughn as a new vocalist and Keith Brinkman on drums. This brought a whole new dynamic to the group and they meshed into a fine tuned unity.

They have played many shows since then including the Ash Street Saloon in Portland twice and was nominated for best original band and best rock band in the South Coast Music Awards. Local radio station 105.9 The WAVE is now spinning 3 of their tracks in regular rotation "Through Your Eyes"  "Down" and "Skeletons". Future goals including going on a regional tour around the Pacific Northwest and heading into the studio to record some brand new songs.

With a high energy live presence, and songs that range from subtly artful to aggro, Black Halo definitely turns it up to "eleven".
